Testing facilities are changing so fast it's become impossible to keep current with who's offering what around the country or even in New England! It would be a full-time job just to help people make appointments as it is very time consuming. However, with Google maps or some internet searching and calling, people have been able to locate testing for their children so far. I've noticed many people using Clear Choice.
We have limited testing capability on the island for a fee, but it's much better for people to arrive with a negative PCR test result within 72 hours of arrival for those who are unvaccinated. If a family has done all their research and calling around, and are still having difficulties, please have them reach out to us: FAS @ Starisland.org

Here is a quote from that page - "For individuals seeking testing regardless of whether they are experiencing symptoms. Tests conducted at these sites are PCR (polymerase chain reaction) and are considered a gold standard for the detection of COVID-19. Tests are paid for by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, and are offered free of charge."
Scroll below that and there's a long list of testing sites with links.
