2021 Information

The Summer of 2021 promises a return to Star Island, and to introduce new COVID-related policies and procedures.  Our goal this summer is to create a Community of Care - one in which Shoalers look out for each other by following the Island's protocols.

Star Island keeps their COVID information and FAQ pages up to date on their web site. There have been at least 3 updates in May. Here you will find information regarding vaccinations, testing, boats, housing, dining, and more.

Here are some highlights.
  • Capacity at Star Island will be at about 60% for both staff and conferees
  • Star Island must follow NH guidelines regarding "congregate settings" which may be different from the personal/household guidelines widely reported in the media.
  • All Star 2 will run from Sunday, July 11 to Saturday, July 17
  • *NEW COVID-related items you need at the dock. Everyone, age 12 and up, are expected to be fully vaccinated (2+ weeks from final dose) against COVID-19 prior to coming to Star Island. You will need to furnish:
    • Proof of vaccination. Proof is to be shown at the dock (original vaccination record, picture, photocopy all accepted). You will not send your medical record to All Star 2 or to Star Island.
    • A recent (within 72 hours), negative COVID-19 PCR test result at the dock .
  • If you or your family member is 12+ and expect not to be fully vaccinated, please contact the island medical staff at FAS@starisland.org (FAS stands for First Aid Station)
  • Every person (regardless of vaccination status) should make a plan (referred to as the Alternative Travel Plan) for the possibility of leaving the island early.
  • No partial weeks or overnight guests for conferees
  • Healthcare services will be expanded on the island
  • Masks mandatory for everyone indoors
  • *NEW No masks or social distancing requirements for vaccinated shoalers outdoors.
  • *NEW Order AS2 T-shirts at as2merch.com.   Check your email for the password.
